PURPOSE: A flat-type vibration motor is provided to lower the voltage for starting rotor, while reducing noise and lengthening useful life of brush by preventing excessive friction between the rotor and brush. CONSTITUTION: A flat-type vibration motor(100) comprises a case(110) having upper and lower cases(111,115) coupled with each other; a lower substrate(121) installed at the central portion of the lower case; a shaft(123) installed at the center of the lower case; a ring-shaped magnet(140) fixed to the edge of the lower case, and which has a pole of 2n(wherein, n is a natural number); a rotor(150) installed to be rotatable to the shaft; first and second coils(161,163) spaced apart from each other, and integrated onto the upper surface of the rotor; an upper substrate formed integrally with the bottom surface of the rotor; a commutator printed onto the upper substrate in such a manner that the commutator is opposed to the lower substrate, and connected to the first and second coils; and a positive brush(131) and a negative brush(133) each of which has an end fixed to the lower substrate and the other end contacting the commutator, respectively.
