The cooling and pre-warming device has a common cooling medium reservoir (43) coupled to each of the electrochemical converters (3,5), for using the heat removed from the cooled electrochemical converter for pre-heating the other electrochemical converter. A temperature regulation device maintains the cooling medium (44) at a required temperature, by controlled mixing of a cooled cooling medium, provided by a feedback cooler (52) with a fan (53) and the circulated cooling medium.
