The articulation is about an axis parallel the bristles and is designed to obtain oscillatory head motion (7) normal to the long brush axis and generated by the customary reciprocal longitudinal brushing motions and, thus, effect cleansing of inter-teeth crevices. A slender flexible blade (4) connects the head (2) to the handle. The amplitude is controlled by a projecting spur (10) locating in an oversize groove (3). Pref. the bristle (5) to teeth resistance promotes oscillation (7) via the blade (4) hinge; the spur (10) is a basal extension of the head (2); and the spur oscillates between a beak formation (9) and the blade support (11) each emanating from the top of the handle.
