The mobile radio receiver has an adjuster of the stereo reproduction portion with respect to the mono reproduction portion in dependence on the reception field strength. The adjusting time for the transition of stero to mono reproduction, and vice versa, is dependent on the reproduction volume and/or dynamic of the radio signal. Preferably the adjusting time is minimum at low volume and/or high dynamic. It is maximum at high volume and/or low dynamic. The resetting time may be variable in dependence on the volume and/or dynamic.
