PROXY SETTING ROAMING METHOD FOR WIRELESS INTERNET CONNECTION

PURPOSE: A proxy setting roaming method for wireless Internet connection is provided to automatically perform the proxy setting wherever a terminal user moves to a certain area. CONSTITUTION: A WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) gateway 1 transmits proxy setting information to an SMSC(Short Message Service Center) 1(202). The SMSC 1 transmits proxy setting information as a short message to a terminal using an SMS(Short Message Service)(204). The WAP gateway 1 transfers a service to a WAP gateway 2 which is a proxy server of an area in which the terminal is located(206). The WAP gateway 2 transmits proxy setting information to an SMSC 2(208). The SMSC 2 transmits proxy setting information as the short message to the terminal using the SMS(210).
