METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING FORWARD LEFT-OVER POWER AND WALSH CODE INFORMATION IN MOBILE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a forward left-over power and Walsh code information in a mobile wireless communication system is provided to select a forward data transmission rate and a serving cell site in a mobile station by simultaneously transmitting the left-over power and Walsh code information assigned in a fast packet data service to one channel in a base station. CONSTITUTION: A channel encoder(30) encodes Walsh code space information. A sequence repetition/symbol puncturing unit(40) repeats the encoded bit sequence and punctures residual bits. A signal point mapping unit(50) replaces encoding blocks composes "0" and "1" with "+1" and "1". A multiplier(60) modulates Walsh code space information classified from the signal point mapping unit(50) by a burst pilot Walsh code and transmits modulated Walsh code space information to a mobile station.
