PURPOSE: A method for detecting signal for controlling ice making of ice storage tank is provided to prevent excessive ice making by detecting signal and stopping operation of a freezer. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of electrodes(5,6,7,8) are installed on an electrode sensor head(11) so that the first electrode is connected with a plus terminal, the second electrode is covered by ice when thickness of ice becomes appropriate, the third electrode is installed in water not to contact with ice to detect that water level is low and the fourth electrode is installed on a water surface to recognize the water level becomes higher when volume water increases as ice grows up.
