PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting identifier in switch is provided to suitably transmit the talker ID according to the hooking state of a listener terminal. CONSTITUTION: A processor(30) controls a communication transmitting unit(20) so that the communication transmitting unit(20) provides a tone to a corresponding subscriber according to a mode signal, and provides an FSK(Frequency Shift Keying) signal for transmitting a talker ID to a digital signal processor(40) when it is necessary to transmit the FSK signal. The processor(30) provides an SAS tone, a CAS tone, and a mute to the corresponding subscriber according to an SAS signal transmission request signal, a CAS signal transmission request signal, and a mute transmission request signal of a full electronic telephone exchange provided from the digital signal processor(40). The digital signal processor(40) provides an FSK signal corresponding FSK data to a corresponding listener terminal when the transmission request of the FSK signal is provided from the processor(40) and the corresponding listener terminal is a hooking-on state. The digital signal processor(40) provides the SAS signal transmission request signal, the CAS signal transmission request signal, and the mute transmission request signal to the processor(30) when the corresponding listener terminal is a hooking-off state. The digital signal processor(40) provides the FSK signal corresponding to the FSK data to the corresponding listener terminal when an acknowledge signal is provided from the corresponding listener terminal. |
