PURPOSE: A method for checking a virus through the Internet is provided to check a virus through the Internet by checking a vaccine version of a receiver computer and based on the checked result in the case that a mail or a card is received through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: In the case that a "V3" is clicked in a client computer, a file server supplies a file of a program to a client computer(S1). The program being executed in the client computer checks whether an ActiveX file is existed in the client computer or not. If the ActiveX file is not existed, the ActiveX file is downloaded and an ActiveX program is installed automatically(S2,S3). The installed ActiveX program checks a previously installed engine version of the client computer and checks whether the engine version is the newest version. If the engine version is not the newest version, an engine of the newest version is downloaded by the ActiveX program from a smart update server to the client computer(S4,S5,S6). If the engine of the newest version is executed, a check-starting screen is displayed on the client computer(S7). If the user clicks a start button in the check-starting screen, a window for displaying a checking status is displayed on the client computer in order for the user to watch the checking status(S8). |
