METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE CASTING PART

The invention relates to a method for producing a composite casting part from light metal alloy, especially a cylinder block for an internal combustion engine, with a cast casting body. The inventive method is characterised in that one or several layers of part-melted light metal alloy particles is/are sprayed onto the surface of the casting body, said casting body having been produced in advance. The pulsed mechanical pressure associated with this spraying process destroys an oxide skin which builds up on the surface of the casting body. The displaced oxide particles are absorbed by the layer in such a way that they are spread out. The resulting casting body is then introduced into a mould and cast round with light metal alloy.
