<p>The glass pane sealing strip is for fixing to a metal supporting strip by means of a mounting section integral with it. The mounting section is dovetail-shaped (33, 43) to fit inside the groove in the supporting strip (5), and incorporates a central hollow chamber. It can also have a thickened core (43) at the side of the chamber, and at the widest part of the section. The strip can be bent in the lengthwise direction, distorting the mounting section so that it can be inserted in the groove in the supporting strip. The bend position is then moved gradually along the supporting strip, so as to insert the entire sealing strip in place.</p> |
