PURPOSE: A stereoscopic image display system is provided to obtain an image in an inexpensive and simple manner, while allowing correction for image distortion and brightness at the superimposed portion between motion image and still image to be performed in an inexpensive and simple way. CONSTITUTION: A stereoscopic image display system comprises an image obtaining unit for obtain a motion image to be projected to a central screen(12b) of a large screen(11) and a still image to be projected to left and right screens(12a,12c); image signal storing/reproducing units(17a to 17c) for separately storing motion image and still image obtained from the image obtaining unit and reproducing the stored image; video projectors(19a to 19c) for projecting, onto the central screen, the motion image reproduced by the image signal storing/reproducing units, and projecting the still image onto left and right screens; and a control unit(15) for controlling projection timing for the motion image and still image, and correcting the superimposed portion between the central screen and left and right screens.
