PURPOSE: An LCD device of an impulse drive type and a driving apparatus of the same are provided to reduce fabrication costs by using a low-priced line memory instead of a high-priced frame memory. CONSTITUTION: A timing control portion(100) has a line memory portion. The timing control portion(100) receives pixel drive data from an external graphic controller and outputs normal drive data, arbitrary data for generating an impulse pulse, and the first control signal for controlling outputs of the normal drive data and the arbitrary data to a data driver(200). In addition, the timing control portion(100) output the second control signal to the gate driver(200). The data driver(200) stores the normal data and the arbitrary data according to the first control signal, converts the stored data to analog data, and outputs the converted data. The gate driver(300) outputs the first scanning signal and the second scanning signal to the LCD panel(400) according to the second control signal. The LCD panel(400) is formed with a plurality of data lines, a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of switching elements, and a plurality of LCD capacitors.
