PURPOSE: An orbiting scroll member with an oil supply cross hole is provided to supply lubricant properly, and to prevent the excessive amount of lubricant from being flowed into a compression chamber by forming the cross hole in the lower part from the orbiting scroll wrap. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor includes an oil supply cross-hole(40) extending radially and outwardly to the outer peripheral surface of the base of an orbiting scroll(32). The cross-hole supplies lubricant against a crankcase towers(42) such that lubricant is supplied to both the Oldham coupling and a sealing unit for a back pressure chamber. The cross-hole is preferably positioned to be at the angle of 80 to 90 degrees downstream from the beginning of the orbiting scroll wrap. In the position, adequate oil is supplied to lubricate the Oldham coupling and the sealing unit, and the excessive amount of lubricant is prevented from being streamed into the scroll compressor chambers.
