PURPOSE: A method for assigning the receipt of a DTMF(Dual Tone Multiple Frequency) signal of a switch when terminating a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) call is provided to enhance QoS(Quality of Service) by recognizing a number pushed by a subscriber when a channel is perfectly connected or before the channel is perfectly connected. CONSTITUTION: The second switch receives an office line call code(2a), analyzes the office line call code, searches an office line with an idle state, and checks whether a VoIP tandem is performed(2a). If the office line is idle, the second switch confirms whether the tandem is correct(2d). If the tandem is correct, the second switch checks whether a received digit is the office line call code(2e), and checks whether only office line call code exists(2f). If only office line call code exists, the second switch checks whether a DTMF receiver for VoIP is available(2g), and confirms whether the DTMF receiver is usable(2h). If the DTMF receiver is usable, the second switch connects to a DTMF receiver(2i). If the subscriber pushes the digit, the second switch receives the digit from the DTMF receiver(2j). The second switch converts the digit into a message and transmits the message to an office line module(2k). The office line module converts the message into a DTMF tone and transmits the DTMF tone to a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network)(2l).
