Foamable plastisols comprising a methyl methacrylate polymer and a plasticizer include at least part of the polymer in the form of core-shell particles in which the core has a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 10,000-1,000,000 and the shell has a Mw of more than 1,000,000. Foamable plastisols comprise: (a) 12.5-99.2 wt.% of one or more polymers comprising 20-100 wt.% methyl methacrylate, 0-80 wt.% (meth)acrylates of aliphatic or aromatic alcohols having 1-18C, 0-40 wt.% of other vinyl monomers and 0-40 wt.% of adhesion-promoting monomers, at least part of the polymer(s) having a core-shell structure in which the core has a Mw of 10,000-1,000,000 and the shell has a Mw of more than 1,000,000; (b) 0.5-80 wt.% plasticiser; (c) 0-87.5 wt.% inorganic filler; (d) 0.1-10 wt.% blowing agent(s); (e) 0-5 wt.% kicker(s); and (f) 0.1-3 wt.% additive(s). |
