PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier material capable of providing a packaging container, which has an IC mounted thereon, having no fear of erroneous operation. SOLUTION: The gas barrier material is characterized by mounting the IC on a flexible laminated material including at least a substrate sheet and a thin layer of a metal oxide. The packaging container using the gas barrier material is also disclosed.
