PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature controller for wet process oxidation treatment equipment which is capable of heating a reaction apparatus so as to minimize an excess heat quantity and holding the internal temperature of a reaction tube of the reaction apparatus at a specified saturation temperature. SOLUTION: The wet process oxidation treatment equipment which performs wet process oxidation treatment at and under a high temperature and high pressure while introducing sewage containing organic wastes into the reaction tube 31 of the reaction apparatus 3 and supplying a prescribed amount of oxygen in this reaction tube 31 is provided with temperature measuring means 9 for measuring the outlet temperature of the treating liquid wet process oxidation treated the sewage in the outlet section of the reaction apparatus 3 and controls the internal temperature of the reaction tube 31 in accordance with the measurement temperature measured by this temperature measuring means 9. The internal temperature of the reaction tube 31 is controlled to the prescribed temperature by the on-off control of a heater disposed within the reaction apparatus 3.
