PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation treatment apparatus capable of shortening the time, which is required until a treated liquid satisfies an effluent standard from the start of operation, to a large extent, and a gas-liquid separation tank thereof. SOLUTION: The oxidation treatment apparatus is equipped with a reactor 2 for decomposing and cleaning the organic liquid A to be treated by oxidation reaction at a high temperature under high pressure, a supply means for supplying the organic liquid A to be treated to the reactor 2, the gas-liquid separation tank 9 for separating the treated liquid discharged from the reactor 2 into gas and a liquid, a spray nozzle 10 arranged in the gas-liquid separation tank 9 to wash the inner surface of the gas-liquid separation tank 9, a circulating piping 17 for connecting the gas-liquid separation tank 9 and the high pressure pump 3 of the supply means and a sensor 18 arranged to the circulating piping 17 to judge the liquid component.
