PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a spinning rod body, by which an uneven surface can simply be formed on the inner peripheral surface at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing the spinning rod body includes a process for winding a prepreg tape 10 on a mandrel 100 at a distance in the axial direction, a process for winding a prepreg sheet 20 on the outer periphery of the wound prepreg tape 10, and a process for baking the product. The prepreg tape 10 and the prepreg sheet 20 comprise a prepreg raw material having a synthetic resin content of 10 to 51 wt.%, respectively.
