PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mooring a pet and a tool for mooring the pet without deteriorating functions including a beautiful sight of a garden or a veranda and without making stress build up in the pet. SOLUTION: This method for mooring the pet 6 is characterized by forming a crosspiece such as a handrail or a fence installed in the garden or veranda of a hollow pipe having an optional cross-sectional shape, continuously providing an opening in the longitudinal direction of the hollow pipe, composing the tool 1 for mooring in which one end of a drawstring 5 for the pet 6 is freely movably provided in the opening and widening the sphere of activity of the moored pet 6.
