RF COIL FOR MRI APPARATUS

PURPOSE: An RF coil for MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) apparatus is provided to maximize an open region in an MRI operation by improving a structure of the RF coil installed within a main magnet forming the vertical magnetic field. CONSTITUTION: An RF coil includes a coil support portion(1) and a solenoid coil(2) having a coil opening portion(3). The coil support portion(1) is formed with a non-conductive material such as acrylic, plastic, and FRP. The coil(2) is formed with a copper pipe or a copper plate. The coil(2) has a structure of three turns. The coil opening portion(3) has an open type structure. An open region is formed by bending two turns of the turns. The turns of the coil(2) are formed with a one-ply or plural-ply conductor.
