METHOD OF SORTING RESIN PELLETS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of continuously and efficiently sorting resin pellets which are extruded to a strand form and are cut to a columnar shape. SOLUTION: The columnar pellets which have a columnar shape of D in diameter and H in height and are >=0.5 mm and <2.0 mm in the sizes of D and H are sorted by a horizontal vibration sieving machine having an upper- stage sieving surface having a plurality of holes of a caliber d of 1.2 to 2.5 times either of the larger D or H and a lower-stage sieving surface having a plurality of holes of a caliber d of 0.6 to 1.2 times the same. This machine has the opening of the sieve which is specified in a pitch P of the holes to >=1.9d to <2.3d and is shifted in the pitch of the holes of the next row to a P/2 width direction and the vibration angle of the sieving surface is specified to >=7 deg. to <13 deg..
