SOLUTION: The control system for a music-playing whirligig for a baby in this toy for an infant is constituted of a sound sensor 10 to sense sound signals of an infant's cry, etc., a sensitivity adjusting circuit 20 to adjust the sensitivity for sound signals such as an infant's cry sensed by the sound sensor 10, an amplifying circuit 30 to amplify sound signals sensed by the sound sensor 10 at sensitivity adjusted by the sensitivity adjusting circuit 20. A control output circuit 40 to output a melody preliminarily selected base don the sound signals amplified by the amplifying circuit 30 and to control rotation of a motor 60, and a mode switching circuit 70 to select a mode to operate the baby musical mobile automatically by the sound signal sensed by the sound sensor 10 or by hand.
