SUBSTANCE: device has base mounting guides, pneumatic drive, carriage installed for reciprocating over guides, electric drive kinematically coupled with sheet separating disk installed for rotation, and paper sheet counter. Upper surface of carriage bears planar supporting surface to receive paper sheets counted; sheet separating disk is arranged so that its axis is parallel to supporting surface of carriage; the latter mounts pneumatic drive housing and front stop whose working surface is butt-joined with supporting surface; rear stop is attached to pneumatic drive piston; front and rear stops are facing up; base carries side stop; guides are longitudinally secured on base for enabling carriage movement towards sheet separating disk in the course of counting. EFFECT: provision for counting small sheets in high ream; reduced wear of paper sheets being counted. 8 cl, 6 dwg
