PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide placement structure of a drainage hose of washing machine, which can realize a miniaturized washing machine. SOLUTION: This structure is to place a drainage hose 34 in a washing machine equipped with a tub 13 oscillatably retained in a housing 11, the drainage hose 34 is connected to a drainage port 31 whose one end is formed on the bottom of the tub 13 and opened in the lateral direction and the other end is taken out from the lower part of the housing 11. Because a large space is not required under the tub 13 in this structure, the washing machine can be miniaturized.
