PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of repairing damages and small coating defects in a newly coated part of an automobile without leaving marks at a lower cost than a conventional one. SOLUTION: The damaged area 6 is cleaned, a filler 8 having a color similar to a color tone determining the color of the newly coated part 7 is excessively applied in a degree of being not existed on a non-damaged coated surface 9 just near the damaged place 6 and after the filler 8 is dried, the projected part of the damaged place 6 is smoothed and after being cleaned, the damaged place 6 is coated thinly in a small area with a lacquer 10 corresponding to the color tone of the top coating coated part 4 thereon while guiding a spray apparatus in a star shape to separate centrifugally from the damaged area 6 in every time. After the colored lacquer 10 to be coated is deaerated and dried, a clear lacquer 11 is applied in a small area. A solvent is sprayed on the periphery of the clear lacquer coated part and after that, the lacquer is locally dried.
