TIRE AIR PRESSURE DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a tire air pressure drop accurately by eliminating an influence of a slip of a driving wheel and eliminating an influence of a tread lift. SOLUTION: A wheel speed deviation value D computed according to a vehicle speed is sequentially corrected to produce a wheel speed deviation value D' presumed if an influence of a tread lift is eliminated. On the basis of the wheel speed deviation value D' for every short time from which the tread lift influence is eliminated, a regression line representing a relation between the wheel speed deviation value D' and a front-to-rear wheel speed ratioβis computed, and from the regression line, a corrected wheel speed deviation value D"AVE from which an influence of slips of the driving wheels 1c and 1d is eliminated is computed. On the basis of the corrected wheel speed deviation value D"AVE thus computed, a tire air pressure drop is detected.
