摘要 There is provided an evaluating method and device for damage of metallic material capable of determining whether the internal flaw of a metallic material is based on a creep damage caused by secular change or caused during manufacturing, and consequently predicting the residual life of the metallic material. This evaluating method for damage of metallic material for evaluating the internal flaw of the metallic material comprises placing a transmitting prove for transmitting ultrasonic wave to the surface of the metallic material and a receiving probe for receiving the ultrasonic wave with the internal flaw of the metallic material between, transmitting the ultrasonic wave into the metallic material by the transmitting probe, detecting the refracted wave from the internal flaw of the metallic material by the receiving probe, and determining whether the internal damage of the metallic material is based on a creep damage or not on the basis of the resulting distribution stage of the refr acted wave, the presence of pores (creep void) by replica method, and the distribution state thereof.
