PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material having a small gloss difference of a printed part and an unprinted part, a high density and an excellent ink absorbability by suppressing occurrence of bronzing, and to provide a method for recording an image using the same. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording material comprises at least three or more ink absorption layers at one side of an opaque support. In this material, the ink absorption layer of the uppermost layer contains thermoplastic resin fine particles. The ink absorption layer adjacent to the absorption layer of the uppermost layer has higher opacity than that of the ink absorption layer nearest to the support. |
