PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the engine of a rental car to be started during the rental period, while disabling the start of the engine regardless of the rental period if an engine start control device is operated illegally. SOLUTION: The engine start control device includes a timer device T which turns off an output after a set period of time, when it is operated at the input of a source voltage branching off a power line in a wire harness IGH laid between an ignition switch circuit and an electric circuit in the vehicle, and a relay RY having a normally open contact CO inserted in series between lines L3 and L4 transmitting signals to an engine start circuit in the wire harness IGH, with the normally open contact being closed by an output of the timer device T. |
