PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent capable of being expanded uniformly without excessive expansion, with each of stent-forming basic cells miniaturize to avoid the endothelial cells of a tubular tissue from protruding inside the stent. SOLUTION: The stent is an approximately tubular body adapted to indwell in an intracoelomic tubular tissue that can expand outwardly in the radial direction of the tubular body, with the stent having a structure for preventing the stent from expanding in excess of a desired diameter. Each of the basic cells 2 constituting the stent comprises main struts 5 and sub-struts 6 folded between the main struts 5 and when expanded circumferentially supporting the main struts 5. During expansion the main struts 5 and the sub-struts 6 together form an annular, approximately polygonal shape consisting of at least three sides or more. The plurality of basic cells 2 continue with one another in the circumferential direction to form a band portion 3. A plurality of band portions 3 are longitudinally linked together by link portions 4.
|
