PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for instant food with a hot water draining function, on which it is easy to form a hot water draining port. SOLUTION: The lid for sealing an opening of a rectangular container body (1) equipped with a flange (2) comprises a tab (11a) protruding at one of corners (11) located on a diagonal line and a half-cut line (a) crossing the inside of the corner of the container body, which is provided at the other corner (12) from one of two sides (13) to the other side (14) which form the corner (12). Two sides (15 and 16) forming the corner (11) where the tab is provided are formed to be approximately the same as end rims of the flange (2). The two sides (13 and 14) forming the corner (12) where the half-cut line is formed are formed to be wider than the flange of the container body. A cut line (b) is provided in parallel to the half-cut line at both end rims of the lid where the half-cut line is formed.
