The trim device is for a windsurf sail and involves the sail being fixed to the mast foot and then the mat is lengthened by the trim system. The mast is lengthened with the aid of a thread end, which is connected with a trim regulator (E). The tightening torque is a measure of the force required in order to trim a specific type of sail. The mast lengthener is not fitted in the mast foot but in the mast top.
