PURPOSE: A device for reducing noise of hermetic type rotary compressor is provided to reduce leakage of noise through a gap between a muffler and a bearing member by suppressing generation of the gap. CONSTITUTION: A device includes a muffler(41) placed to contact with a side of an upper bearing member(30) to form a temporary storage space for refrigerant with the upper bearing member in axial direction of a rotary axis(16); and an anti-gap generation device interposed between surfaces of the upper bearing member and the muffler on which the upper bearing member and the muffler contact with each other to suppress generation of a gap between the upper bearing member and the muffler.
