METHOD FOR RECYCLING RED PEPPER SEEDS AND ACTIVATED CARBON MANUFACTURED THEREFROM

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing activated carbon from red pepper seeds is provided to recycle waste sources. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of activated carbon from red pepper seeds includes the steps of drying red pepper seeds at 300-400 deg.C; heating the red pepper seeds in inert atmosphere at 750-850 deg.C for carbonization; mixing the carbonized red pepper seeds with sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide as activators; activating the mixture at 700-900 deg.C, followed by washing with water; and drying resultants at 80-130 deg.C.
