PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional bar code reader which enables even a handicapped person to easily read a two-dimensional bar code and decodes only a code for exclusive use to reduce the size and the cost. SOLUTION: A transparent window 19, larger than a specific two-dimensional bar code 12 to be read, is provided in the upper face of a portable reader 10 for exclusive use which reads the bar code 12, the bar code 12 is directly seen and is aligned with the reader 10, a push button 14 is provided on the upper face, and reading operation is started by depressing push button 14. |
