PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of cross talk of a display image in a liquid crystal display device in which a multiline select(MLS) driving is used. SOLUTION: A segment driver applies a voltage so that the relationship of V2/V1 is kept for an MLS driving. Theoretically speaking, the relationship is V2/V1=2. However, when a display panel is in an NB mode, the value of V2 is made equal to 0% or more or equal to 5% or less with respect to V1×2. When it is an NW mode, the value of the V2 is made equal to 0% or more or equal to 5% or less with respect to V1×2. The ratio of V2/V1 is set by command controlling a resistor value control circuit 881.
