PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it unnecessary to operate two time operations, that is, the designation of the arrangement position of a symbol graphic and the designation of the arrangement angle of the symbol graphic which has been operated in a conventional symbol graphic display method, and to simplify the symbol graphic display operation by making it possible to automatically set the arrangement position and arrangement angel of the symbol graphic only by designating an arbitrary position near a wall graphic or a column graphic. SOLUTION: This symbol graphic display method for displaying a symbol graphic at a prescribed arrangement angle at the arbitrary position of a wall graphic or a column graphic displayed on a display screen comprises an input step (step S1) for allowing an operator to input an arbitrary position on a display screen and arithmetic display steps (steps S4-S6) for retrieving a wall graphic or a column graphic which is the nearest to the designated position, and for calculating the arrangement position and arrangement angle of the symbol graphic based on the graphic information of the retrieved wall graphic or the graphic information of the retrieved column graphic, and for displaying the symbol graphic at the calculated arrangement angle at the calculated arrangement position.
