PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the skipping and reproduction of the reproduction time of video/audio signals recorded on an optical disk repeatable. SOLUTION: The optical disk recording and playback device, which reproduces the video/audio signals recorded on the optical disk is provided with an input means which sets the skipping time for skipping over the reproduction time of the video/audio signals recorded on the optical disk by a predetermined time and which also sets the reproduction time for reproducing the image/ sound signals for a prescribed time, and a control means which skips over the reproduction time of the optical disk by the set skipping time and reproduces the optical disk for the set reproduction time. The device reproduces the optical disk by alternately repeating the skipping of the reproduction time of the optical disk by the set skipping time and reproduction of the optical disk by the set reproduction time.
