PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact disk reproducing device and a method therefor, capable of individually judging whether data recorded in a disk is uncompressed voice data or CD-ROM data containing compressed voice data, decoding it when it is compressed voice data and reproducing musics in optional order designated by a user. SOLUTION: A reproduction list for reproducing uncompressed voice data is prepared by using TOC information in a step ST4. A second reduction list for reproducing compressed voice data is prepared in a step ST10. A unified reduction list obtained by unifying the first and the second reproduction lists is prepared in a step ST11. In reference to the united reproduction list, musics are reproduced in optional order designated by the user regardless of whether voice data are compressed or not.
