PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use low-cost materials, and to improve the effect of heat dissipation generated by a brush, while keeping a production cost low. SOLUTION: This brush-holding device or a miniature motor is comprised of a brush with which a brush-fitting part is formed solidly, a brush arm that has a mounting hole of a shape that substantially corresponds to the shape of the brush-fitting part of the brush and that has brush contact points at both sides of the mounting hole, and a holder. This holder, which has the mounting hole of the shape that substantially corresponds to the shape of the brush-fitting part of the rush, is fixed to the brush arm with its mounting hole fitted to that of the brush arm. The brush-fitting part of the brush is press-inserted and fixed to the mounting holes of the fixed holder and to the brush arm.
