PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a still picture device by which control data, picture data and sound data constituting a single still picture program can simply be managed. SOLUTION: The still picture device consists of a picture processor 1, a personal computer 2, a monitor 3, an MO drive 4 and a CD-ROM drive 5. The computer 2 incorporates a floppy (a registered trademark) disk drive and a DVD-RAM drive. When transferring operation is given by a user, the computer 2 reads control data from a floppy disk and prepares a directory with a disk identification code included in the control data as a directory name in a DVD- RAM disk. Then, the computer 2 writes picture data read from the MO disk and sound data read from a CD-ROM disk in directories having the same directory names as the respective disk identification codes of them and writes the read control data in a DVD-RAM disk.
