PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation in an image for a planar display device in which driving is conducted by distributing a signal output from an external circuit to a plurality of signal lines. SOLUTION: In order to suppress the voltage fluctuation between adjacent signal lines, the signal voltage, that is to be transmitted to a certain signal line, is made by superimposing the voltage fluctuation generated in the signal line by the writing onto the adjacent signal line and the voltage to be written onto the pixel to which the signal line is connected.
