The vehicle (1) for emptying road drains has a main frame (3) on which a tank (5) is fixed. On the main frame are six wheels (7,9), of which those central (7) have a greater space from the main frame than the other wheels (9), which are pivotable. The vehicle has suction devices (11) for emptying the drains, which comprise a pump (13), a fluid catchment device (14), a drive motor (15) and a fuel tank (16), on which is a battery. The vacuum suction devices are connected with the main frame and coupled to the tank via a hose (17). The tank is provided with an excess pressure valve (18). At the front, the vehicle has a subframe (19) provided with coupling devices (21), coupled with further such devices (23) located on the main frame. The coupling (25) of the coupling devices with the further such devices is releasable, as is that (27) for the vacuum suction devices with the tank.
