<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformer that can be reduced in barrier tape consumption without lowering its reliability. SOLUTION: This transformer 1 is provided with a primary winding 3 and a secondary winding 4 both of which are wound around a bobbin 2, a barrier tape (first barrier tape) 5 arranged between the upper end sections of the windings 3 and 4 and the lower surface of the head section of the bobbin 2, and another barrier tape (second barrier tape) 6 arranged between the lower end sections of the windings 3 and 4 and the upper surface of the bottom section of the bobbin 2. The barrier tapes 5 and 6 for securing a creeping distance are manufactured by cutting a rectangular barrier tape 7 in a recessing and projecting state along a reference line L1 and wound around the bobbin 2, so that recessing and projecting section forming sides of the tapes 5 and 6 are arranged on the lower surface side of the head section and upper surface side of the bottom section of the bobbin 2, respectively. Consequently, the amount of the barrier tape 7 consumed by this transformer 1 can be reduced remarkably as compared with a conventional example and, accordingly, the cost of the transformer 1 can be reduced.</p> |
