摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of an obstacle detecting sensor 36 provided to prevent a collision of an automatic traveling vehicle. SOLUTION: As the obstacle detecting sensor 36, an ultrasonic sensor is used, and an area in front of the automatic traveling vehicle is divided into three areas of a stop area 44, a speed reduction area 45 and an estimation area 46 in response to a distance from the automatic traveling vehicle. When an obstacle exists in the speed reduction area 45, speed of the automatic traveling vehicle is reduced for traveling, and when the obstacle exists in the stop area 44, the automatic traveling vehicle is stopped, and when the obstacle does not exist within the speed reduction area 45, the automatic traveling vehicle is made to travel at an ordinary speed.</p>
