PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthogonal frequency division multiplex signal transmitter for generating OFDM signals including a high quality pilot signals with little unwanted leakage components. SOLUTION: The orthogonal frequency division multiplex signal transmitter for generating signals to which a part of a plurality of generated carrier signals is added as a guard interval signal, comprises a means 21 for detecting carriers continuous in adjacent symbol periods and amplitude control means 14a, 14b, to 14n, 15a, 15b, to 15n for attenuating the amplitudes of signals near start points of the guard interval signals added to carrier signals detected as discontinuous carriers by the continuous carrier detecting means 21.
