PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly position a pickup inclination adjusting mechanism on a chassis, to prevent a guide shaft from unexpectedly shaken and moved on a surface in nearly parallel with the chassis and to improve the resistance against an impact due to falling, etc., in a disk recorder or reproducer. SOLUTION: The disk recorder or reproducer is provided with a pickup arranged on the chassis so as to be able to freely come close to and separable from concerning the center of a disk, the guide shaft which is extended in a pickup movement direction and to which the pickup is fitted and the adjusting mechanism for changing the inclination angle of the guide shaft on the surface which comprises the pickup movement direction and is orthogonally crossed with the upper surface of the chassis. The adjusting mechanism is provided with a bracket for holding the end part of the guide shaft, a compression spring for energizing the guide shaft and an adjustment screw for pushing-in the guide shaft against the compression spring. A boss is formed at the inner side of the compression spring and the height of the boss is the one by which the pickup is not brought into contact with the chassis when the guide shaft touches the boss.
