PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm of which sound volume, etc., of a voice output accompanying the testing and determining of the expiration or not expiration of the serviceable life time of the alarm can be arbitrarily controlled by a user. SOLUTION: This alarm detecting a prescribed physical quantity and issuing an alarm is provided with a test result determination part 23 determining the test result, a serviceable life time determination part 24 determining the expire of the serviceable time, a voice output part 14 and a speaker 5 acoustically outputting the alarm and the outputs related to the determination of the test result determination part 23 and the serviceable life time determination part 24, and a voice output changeover part 25 suppressing the sound volume of the output related to the determination relative to the sound volume of the alarm.
